Reminders.

I find myself casually checking different lgbt tags on tumblr, or visiting trans related subreddits. It’s such a good reminder of how awesome my life is I guess. Sure I deal with dysphoria and frustration but overall I’m doing pretty awesome. 

I do wonder though, if some people just like to create drama for an audience that only tumblr / reddit can give them. Really, can we not laugh at ourselves? Can we not accept that yes, some people look like shit? Can we not just be happy?

The recent bits about girl scouts, and the cross dresser in the tampon commercial, and even the “things transsexuals say” youtube are just laughable! Laugh, GIGGLE, these people are having fun and it’s not like we shouldn’t be just like any other minority and laugh at ourselves. 

Anywho, just checking in for a short update - have fun trannies.

I just realized

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. I’m starting to believe that the male to female side of things is full of fucking retards. Any time I suggest an idea that may show the slightest dissent from the accepted truth, I’m labeled as a troll. Funny, so very funny that you think it’s trolling that I don’t like being lied to by a community that wants to ignore the sad realities of our society.

 It’s not going to change anything… ignoring the truth. You are fighting off any support that you might win because you treat anyone who doesn’t agree with every aspect of your argument as either a troll, a fake, or an idiot. 

One would have to be blind to believe that looks don’t matter. Yes, it’s sad that this is true, yes we can try and blame someone or something, and yes it will make you feel better about yourself for now. The problem is, this isn’t going to get you or your community anywhere. Society doesn’t change by ignoring, society doesn’t change because you want it to, society doesn’t change because you yell at it and force rules upon it. 

Laws aren’t going to make us equals, and hostility isn’t going to gain us support. Stop trying to treat a problem by explaining how the ideal society would work. The ideal society doesn’t exist, it never will…

Appearance is a huge part of society. It says so much about a person before anyone ever has to speak. If you want to ignore this, I fear that perhaps the trans community will be relegated to being considered strange or weird. 

I’m not trolling, I’m just speaking my mind. I for one believe that for us to be accepted by mainstream society, we need to stop hiding in circles of support and grow a pair. Yes, people are going to hate and yes people wont understand but perhaps we can establish that we aren’t all ugly fucking fetish playthings.
